Del Castillo is a cross-cultural power in music. Their original sound blends, rock, Latin, blues, and world music.
"Whether Del Castillo works in Spanish or English, it rocks righteously. The Spanish guitars’ flamenco vibe gives a dramatic flair, abetted by Alex Ruiz’s passionate vocals. They pull together Latin music’s romance and rock’s grit." says Billboard"
Lesly Reynaga has made a striking first impression in Texas’ capital city, where the Austin American-Statesman states she “has the potential to be an Austin breakout star.” The 26-year-old singer-songwriter has received accolades from Austin’s mayor, been recognized as a champion of her Latino community and earned support from numerous iconic artists.
Featuring 12 to 14 performers who have participated in The House of Songs’ program, this event will honor Threadgill’s World Headquarters (301 W Riverside Dr, Austin, TX 78704) before the venue closes its doors for the final time. Acts will perform a few songs of their own or songs that they have written as part of the songwriting collaborative. As Threadgill’s World Headquarters had played host to The House of Songs’ first events, the evening will be an immensely personal goodbye for The House of Songs and a tribute to the songwriting legacies that have graced the stage.
The evening will be hosted by The House of Songs Manager and Artist Coordinator Graham Weber and confirmed acts for the evening include Matt The Electrician, Ali Holder, Barbara Nesbitt, Daisy O'Connor, Graham Wilkinson, Lesly Reynaga and Sarah Sharp, among others to be announced. Doors for the event will open at 6 p.m. and tickets will be $10. For more information on the event, please see https://tickets.holdmyticket.com/tickets/324952
