THE DROP PRESENTS: Lesly Reynaga Waterloo Records In-Store Performance & Record Signing

Waterloo Records is proud to present THE DROP - a monthly music series presented by the Austin-American Statesman and KUTX. Each month THE DROP will highlight up-and-coming local artists and showcase their talents with an in-store performance and interview at Waterloo Records. Each performance is open and free to the public. Our hope is to showcase the strength of Austin's dynamic music scene and present a closer look at the diverse artists who are elemental to our city's creative experience.

Reynaga has spent the past two years working on her soon-to-be released, first full-length album of 12 original tracks. The new material features a wholly unique, cross-cultural, Latin beat-driven pop sound that’s immersed in her mariachi roots. Called by Stax Records/Motown legend Al Bell a “one-of-a-kind” artist with the potential to be a “rare superstar,” Reynaga’s new music reflects the independent nature of an immigrant whose voice echoes the timeless cries of the Mexican grito in a search for joy in times of struggle. Reynaga's first full-length album, titled, Valerosa, is coming to streaming platforms August 1st. This project began before COVID with the writing process, and the songs were recorded at the peak of the pandemic.

Lesly Reynaga is set to perform at this year's Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois, on August 3rd!
